The Rev. Father W. Gaston Payne officiated. The remains were interred in St. Mary's Cemetery. The following gentlemen were pallbearers: Messrs. James O'Rourke, Patrick Murphy, Dennis Mack, Patrick Hart, Richard Fogarty, Wm. Tynan, Wm. Donovan and Patrick Lanigan. Mr. Donohoe was greatly esteemed by all who knew him. He held the position for many years of storekeeper of the Norfolk and Petersburg Railroad and continued in that position when the railroad merged into the Atlantic, Mississippi and Ohio Railroad and afterwards the Norfolk and Western Railroad, until his health seven years ago failed. He was then retired with a pension, which was continued to the time of his death. General Mahone was his warm personal friend and the friendship was warmly reciprocated. The strict integrity of Mr. Donohoe was recognized by our business men.
