Norfolk Ledger Dispatch February 17, 1950

Richard J. Donovan, son of the late Daniel J. and Mrs. Mary Donovan, a native 
and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died  yesterday at 3 a.m. at the residence, 
901 Virgin  Street.
He is survived by one brother, L.J. Donovan, of Norfolk.
The body was removed to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments pending funeral 
arrangements.

Richard J. Donovan —- Funeral services for Mr. Donovan, who died Thursday, were 
conducted at St. Mary’s Catholic Church yesterday at 8:30 a.m. by the Rev. 
Francis Blakely, the pastor. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were 
R. B. Wolfe, Lee F. Lawler, Emmett J. Lawler and Winston Lawler.
