E. P. Gallagher officiating. Rev. E. A. Brosnan, Rev. M. Hartigan, Rev. A. J. Taylor, Rev. R. B. Kealey and Rev. P. P. Brennan were present. During the service, Mrs. James Hughes sang, “Lead Kindly Light," with E. J. Doran, as accompanist. The casket was covered with clusters of narcissi, while among the many floral offerings was a large cluster of narcissi from the employees of Norfolk and Western Pier "S" and one from the B. P. O. Elks. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery. The pallbearers were: Patrick Tynan, W. J. Cannon, T. B. Hatton, William J. Walsh, A. L. Voight, George Dorr, Charles H. Tumbleson and B. J. King.
