Virginian-Pilot  September 23, 1914
The funeral of Thomas H. Donovan was held from St. Mary’s Catholic church 
yesterday morning at 10 o’clock, the services being conducted by the pastor, Rev. 
John J. Doherty. The casket was covered with a pall of asters, white roses and 
smilax. Mrs. James Hughes sang “Lead Kindly Light.” Interment was made in St. 
Mary’s cemetery. The pallbearers were James Barkley, John R. Coleman, Timothy 
Hickey, Patrick Kavanaugh, John A. Baecher, Benjamin Hatton, John Mariner, Patrick 
Moylan.
