Mrs. Dood was a native of Ireland and had been a resident of Norfolk for the past 56 years. She is survived by one son, John Dood; one sister, Mrs. William Boggs; a grandson, Robert James Dood and a number of nieces and nephews. Remains will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, to St. Mary's Catholic Church, for services tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. ***************************************************************************** Mrs. Barbara Dood — Funeral services for Mrs. Dood, widow of John Dood, whose death occurred Wednesday, were held at 10 o’clock yesterday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. F. V. Bambrick, officiating. The Rev. P. C. Blackburn was present in the sanctuary. At the conclusion of the mass, Father Blackburn paid tribute to Mrs. Dood’s devotion to God and her Church. Several selections were rendered during the service by the choir of St. Mary’s Academy, with Mrs. James Hughes as organist. There was a large attendance and a number of floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies, pink roses, smilax and fern. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by the Rev. F. V. Bambrick. The pallbearers were Robert N. Monroe, W.K. White, J. H. Gardner, F. M. Sawyer, James Randolph. W. E. Trevathian, W. Lupo and Duke Vite.
