E. A. Brosnan, celebrant of the mass, the Rev. R. B. Kealey, deacon, the Rev. P. P. Brennan, subdeacon, and the Rev. M. J. Molloy, master of ceremonies. Present in the sanctuary were the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Thomas E. Waters, the Rev. Paul Judson, the Rev. Julian Bullock, the Rt. Rev. John P. Ewen and the Rev. Charles Comaskey. At the conclusion of the mass, Father Brosnan paid tribute to the long and unselfish service of Mr. Doran to St. Mary’s Church as organist. During the service, a male quartet composed of the Rev. A. J. Taylor, Thomas O’Connor, William Cannon and Vincent Smith, sang the Gregorian Mass, "Miserere," "Benedictus" and "De Profundis,” with Prof. J. Harvey Stevens, organist. There was a large attendance, including a large delegation from the Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association. The floral offerings were numerous. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies, pink roses and ferns. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by the Rev. E. A. Brosnan, the Rev. Paul Judson, the Rev. Julian Bullock and the Rev. A. J. Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were John A. Lesner, R. P. Beaman, Judge Luther B. Way, George Pilcher, Hugh C. Davis, H. M. Kerr, A. W. Brock, John E. Wales, W. Frank Robertson, C. R. Carver, James E. Heath, William Leigh Williams and Dr. C. C. Smith. Active pallbearers were W. L. Prieur, Jr., W. G. Maupin, John Twohy, 2d, Maj. L. G. Thom, G. T. Smith, A. J. Smith, H. T. Cruser and Dr. John J.
