She was a native of Mt. Holly, N.J. and had been a resident of Hickory for the past seven years. Surviving her are five daughters, Miss Mary A. Dougherty, of Philadelphia; Mrs. Jennie Jarvis, of Mt. Holly, N.J.; Mrs. C.F. Ewell, of Hickory; Mrs. Elizabeth Green, of Detroit and Mrs. James Black, of Philadelphia; one son, Frank Dougherty, of Philadelphia; one sister, Mrs. Mary Anderson, of Philadelphia; 13 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. The body will be taken from H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street, to St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Berkley, for services Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. ***************************************************************************** Mrs. Elizabeth Dougherty — Funeral services for Mrs. Dougherty, widow of Peter Dougherty, whose death occurred Saturday morning, were held at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Berkley, with the Rev. M. J. Harrison, pastor, officiating. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with clusters of dahlias and ferns. During the service Mrs. Gatewood Dashiell sang, “Veni Jesu," with Mrs. Harry Fulford accompanist. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were C. C. Gammon, S. T. Warren, R. J. Friedel, N. W. Old, J. R. Sykes and J. E. Gilliam.
