Dougherty, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 1:10 o'clock. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. I.B. Wicks and Mrs. Edward Evett; two sons, Charles G. Dougherty and Hugh L. Dougherty; two brothers, Wallace E. Gibbs, of Norfolk, and John M. Gibbs, of Washington, and five grandchildren. Mrs. Dougherty was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and was a member of the Memorial Methodist Church. The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home pending funeral arrangements. ************************** Mrs. Bessie Gibbs Dougherty - Funeral services for Mrs. Dougherty will be conducted at the Memorial Methodist Church this afternoon at 4 o'clock by the Rev. C.E. Greene, pastor of the church, the Rev. Edward J. Rees, D.D., pastor of the Ghent Methodist Church and the Rev. D.B. Mullins, pastor of the Central Methodist Church, Hampton. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
