Remains will be taken from the residence, No. 2302 Lafayette Boulevard, to St. Mary's Catholic Church for funeral services Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery. LAWRENCE JPOSEPH DOUGHERTY Lawrence Joseph Dougherty, husband of Mary Rose Dougherty and son of the late John and Bridget Dougherty, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 3:45 o'clock. Mr. Dougherty was a native of Ireland and a resident of Norfolk for the past 10 years. For 30 years he was in the Federal service, part of which he served as chief machinist mate, and more recently as sergeant of police at the Norfolk Navy Yard. Mr. Dougherty was a member of Norfolk Council 367, Knights of Columbus. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Sister Mary Rose Dougherty, of the Order of the Sisters of Charity, Utica, N. Y., and the Misses Celestia and Rita Dougherty; a son, Lawrence Joseph Dougherty, Jr.; two sisters, Mrs. Bridget Burns and Mrs. Mary Dougherty, both of Ireland, and five brothers, Robert John, Patrick and James Dougherty, all of Ireland, and Charles Dougherty, of Miami Beach, Fla. The body will be taken from the residence, 2302 Lafayette Boulevard, to St. Mary's Catholic church, of which Mr. Dougherty was a member, for funeral services Monday morning at 10 O'clock.
