The body was removed to the funeral home of J.R. Williams, 1027 Chesapeake Avenue, South Norfolk. Besides his wife, Mrs. Bessie Doughty, Mr. Doughty is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert F. Duval; one son, Harry C. Doughty, Jr. of Roanoke; one sister, Miss Cora L. Doughty, of R.F.D. No. 4 and four brothers, L.H. Doughty, J.T. Doughty, J.B. Doughty and T.W. Doughty. Doughty - Funeral services for Mr. Doughty, whose death occurred Saturday at a local hospital, were conducted yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock in Oaklette Methodist Church. The Rev. Irving Llewellyn, a former pastor of Oaklette Church, now of Orange, officiated and was assisted by the present pastor, the Rev. Cecil Morgan and the Rev. Bernard Via. The attendance was large and there was a profusion of flowers. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery and the pallbearers were as follows: Honorary - Frank C. Miller, W.N. Duval, N.G. Wilson, Frank Wilson, B.F. Gibson, Harry Paxson, A.J. Shumadine, Jr., A.S. Foreman, J.J. Wilson, F.O. Baum and W.A. Davis Active - Cecil Doughty, Allen Doughty, Norfleet Etheridge, N.W. Williams C.C. Grinalds and H.W. Williams.
