Doughty, aged 70 years. Notice of funeral later. ************************************************************* The funeral of Mrs. Sarah E. Doughty took place from the Oaklette M.E. Church yesterday at 3 p.m. and was conducted by the pastor, Rev. Mr. Jones, assisted by Rev. J.B. Merritt, Rev. Geo. McFaden and Rev. Mr. Greene. Interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: William Williams, Nathaniel Williams, Clarence Grinalds, Mordaunt Etheredge, Norfleet Etheredge, Dr. N.G. Wilson, nephews of the deceased. ***************** The funeral of the late Mrs. Sarah D .Doughty, who died Saturday on the Eastern Branch of the Elizabeth River, at her home in Princess Anne County, took place yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Oaklette Methodist Church. Rev. George H. McFaden and Rev. J.B. Merritt officiated. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. Virginian Pilot Tuesday August 4, 1908 ******************************************************* The funeral of the late Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Doughty, wife of Joseph B. Doughty, was held from Oaklette M.E. Church, Norfolk County, Monday afternoon, of which the deceased was a member and was largely attended. The service was conducted by her former pastor, Rev. Geo. H. McFaden, of Ashbury Place Methodist Church, Richmond. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley ward. The following nephews of the deceased were the pallbearers: Mordaunt Etheridge, Norfleet Etheridge, Nathaniel Williams, Clarence Greenwald and Dr. Nicholas Wilson. Besides her husband Mrs. Doughty is survived by an only daughter, Miss Cora Lee Doughty and five sons, Leonidas, J.T., James, Thomas W. and Harry Doughty.
