A native of Norfolk, she lived in the Norfolk, Princess Anne, and Virginia Beach area all her life. She was the widow of Thomas W. Doughty and a daughter of William H. and Mrs. Mary Ellen Cotten White. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Lee Hilderbrandt of Crestline, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Lillian Klucz of Norfolk; two brothers, Leo White of Portsmouth and Joseph White of Accomack County; and five grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew's Catholic Church by the Rev. Lewis J. Berry. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Norfolk.
