The Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 23, 1945
Joseph Teagle Doughty, husband of the late Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Halstead 
Doughty, died at the residence of his nephew, C.L. Doughty, 2336 Ballentine 
Boulevard, yesterday afternoon at 3:25 o'clock after an illness five months.
He was a native of Berkley and had been a resident of Norfolk and Princess Anne 
counties all of his life. He was a son of the late Joseph Bain and Mrs. Sarah 
Elizabeth Williams Doughty. He was a member of Oaklette Methodist Church.
Surviving him are three brothers, Leonidas H., James B. and Thomas W. Doughty, 
of Norfolk and Princess Anne counties. The body was taken to the Cox Funeral 
Home.
