Virginian Pilot February 16, 1908
George B. Douglas, aged 71 years, died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the 
family residence, 8 Payne street, after a lingering illness of several years  The 
deceased was a native of Wallaceton, Norfolk county, but had resided in Berkley a 
great many years.  Mr. Douglas was a well known and highly respected citizen.
He is survived by a widow, Mrs. Mary S. Douglas; a daughter, Miss Dessie Douglas 
and a sister, Miss Lula Douglas of Wallaceton.  The funeral will take place from 
the residence Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock.  Rev. T. McN. Simpson, pastor of 
Memorial M. E. Church, will conduct the services and the interment will be in 
Magnolia Cemetery.
