Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, April 14, 2000 
Robert Lewis Douglas, 58, of the 2600 block of Blueberry Bank, died April 10,
2000, at a local hospital. Born in Norfolk, he was a crane operator for Tarmac
of America.

Mr. Douglas is survived by his wife, Sarah Burgess-Douglas; three daughters,
Lisa Charles of Queens, N.Y., Suzette Jones of Fort Belvoir, Va., and Lisa Wise
of Newport News; three stepdaughters, Jenene Rodgers, Polly Burgess and LaTonya
Burgess, all of Chesapeake; two stepsons, Christopher and DeWayne Burgess, both
of Chesapeake; six brothers, Walter Douglas, William Douglas II, Samuel Douglas,
James Douglas, Murphy Douglas Sr. and Rayfield Douglas; six sisters, Ruby
Brembry, Carrie Douglas-Horn, Willie May Hurt, Amaelima Pryor, Pearl
Douglas-Hinton and Sandra Pernal; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces and
nephews.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home,
Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Dallas Walker III. Burial will be in Calvary
Cemetery . The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral
home.
