The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark January 5, 1935
Miss Sophie M. Douglas, aged ?, daughter of the late Sanford M. and Elizabeth 
Kinsley Douglas, died at her residence, 325 Church street, yesterday morning at 
6 o'clock after a short illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of 
Norfolk. Miss Douglas is survived by two brothers, Thomas B. Douglas, of 
Charlotte, N.C., and Smith M. Douglas, of Fentress, and a number of nieces and 
nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Ewell & Williamson Funeral Home, 
Thirty-fifth street at Colonial avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. 
Interment will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
