Doumar Merchant, Is Dead Abraham Joseph Doumar, 64, husband of Mrs. Rose Doumar and son of Joseph and Mrs. Hind Doumar, a native of Damascus, Syria, and a well known resident of Norfolk for 40 years, died Wednesday at 1:10 p.m. at a local hospital. He resided at 111 West Twenty-sixth Street. Mr. Doumar was for 35 years in the imported linens and lace business. For the past three years he had been associated with his brothers in the barbecue business and operated concessions at Ocean View. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Joseph Doumar, Edward Doumar and Raymond Doumar, all of Norfolk; five sisters, Mrs. Julia Absi, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Mrs. Jennie Khouri, of Florence, S.C.; Mrs. Helen Lovejoy, of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Adele Doumar, of Norfolk and Miss Mary Doumar, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; three brothers, Charles Doumar, George Doumar and John Doumar, all of Norfolk. The body will be taken from the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for services tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the Oliver Funeral Apartments tonight at 8:30 o'clock ***************************************************************************** Abraham Joseph Doumar — Funeral services for Mr. Doumar, who died Wednesday at a local hospital, were conducted at 10 o'clock Friday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by the Rev. Paul V. Heller. The Rev. Edward W. Johnston, the Rev. Joseph V. Brennan and the Rev. M. J. Harrison were present in the sanctuary. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joseph Decker, George Zrake, Jim Habib, Elias Noona, Abe Sakakiny, Y. E. Abiouness, Tony Hage and S. K. Rubaiz.
