Norfolk - Mrs. Mary Virginia Douthit of 2728 Virginia Beach Blvd. died Sunday in 
a hospital.

A native of Norfolk, she was a daughter of John and Mrs. Sarah Allen and the 
widow of John Henry Douthit. She was a deaconess of Jerusalem Baptist Church and 
a member of Four Leaf Savings Club.

She is survived by three sons, Junius Douthit of Norfolk and John Douthit of 
Washington; five daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth D. Rhodes and Mrs. Lillian D. Kyles 
of Washington, Mrs. Charlene D. Ballard of Richmond, and Mrs. Emily D. Reid and 
Mrs. Margaret D. Peace of Norfolk; two brothers, Lee Allen of Suffolk and 
Linwood Allen of New York; seven grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in Jerusalem Baptist 
Church by the Rev. T. M. Venable. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with 
Riddick Funeral Service in charge.
