Norfolk - Junious Allen (Cartie) Douthit of 2505 Ruffin St., died Friday in a 
hospital.

A native of Norfolk, he was the husband of Mrs. Marie Douthit. He was retired 
from Gilbert Hotel and was president of Bellman’s Club. He was a Baptist.

Survivors besides his widow include five sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Rhodes and Mrs. 
Lillian Kyles, both of Washington, Mrs. Charlene Ballard of Richmond and Mrs. 
Emily Reid and Mrs. Margert Peace, both of Norfolk; two brothers, Herman Douthit 
of Norfolk and John H. Douthit Jr., of Washington; three nieces; and four 
nephews.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in First Calvary Baptist 
Church by the Rev. Roy L. Edler. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Riddick 
Funeral Home has charge.
