Thomas Granville Dowdy, 62, of 1574 Sewells Point Road, husband of Mrs. Beulah 
Litchfield Dowdy and son of Samuel and Mrs. Mary Hughes Dowdy died in a Norfolk 
hospital Monday at 3:30 p.m.

A lifelong resident of Norfolk, he was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church.

Besides his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. A.E. Meeks and Mrs. 
Cecil Gaylor of Norfolk; a sister Mrs. Paul W. Jones of Bayside, Virginia Beach 
and three grandchildren.

A services will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Wednesday at 3 p.m. 
by the Rev Walker N. Stockberger of Trinity Baptist Church. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
