NORFOLK - Mrs. Estella Downing of 932 Mariner St. died Tuesday in a hospital.

A native of Goldsboro, N.C., she was a daughter of William and Mrs. Fannie 
Roberts and the widow of David Downing.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Order of St. Francis.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Deloris Richardson of Norfolk and Mrs. 
Catherine Langley of Philadelphia; a brother, Joseph Roberts of Boston; a 
sister, Mrs. Lossie Jones of New York; nine grandchildren; and nine great-
grandchildren.

A Requiem Mass will be said Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Graves Funeral Home has charge.

The Rosary will be recited Friday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
