Virginian Pilot May 6, 1953


Mrs. Vandalia R Downing, 82, of 4502 Cutshaw Avenue, Richmond, died yesterday 
at a Richmond nursing home. She was the widow of Alvin Clark Downing.
A native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of William and Mrs. Amy Rosson.
She is survived by a sister Mrs. H.G. Peterson of Chicago, Ill., and a niece, 
Mrs. C.H. Earnest of Richmond.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Joseph W. Bailey 
Funeral Home, Richmond. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
