DOWNING —- At the residence of her parents, No. 255 Church street, December 31, 
1887, ROXANNA WEST, aged 17 years and 2 months, eldest daughter of Adeline B. and 
George W. Downing.
Funeral from St. Mary’s Church MONDAY, 2nd inst, at 3 p.m. Friends and 
acquaintances invited without further notice.
The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
Never a thought of the world she was leaving,
Naught of its glories, its cares or its grievings,
Solely of her whom the stroke was bereaving—Poor Roxanna.
