Virginian-Pilot  April 4, 1967
NORFOLK - Miss Katherine Lila Downing of 212 Colonial Ave., a daughter of Thomas 
and Mrs. Sarah Richardson Downing, died in a hospital Monday evening.
A lifelong resident of Norfolk, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 
the Sodality of the church, and Pickett-Buchanan Chapter, United Daughters of the 
Confederacy.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Thursday at 10 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
The Office of the Dead will be said in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Wednesday 
at 7 p.m.
