Newport News Daily Press October 23, 1973
Mrs. Mary Louise Downs, 92, 10829 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, died Monday in 
Riverside Hospital following a long illness.
She was born in Georgetown, Del., and had been a Peninsula resident for 55 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Earl F. Allen of Newport News and Mrs. 
Elizabeth Ross-Clunis of Williamsburg; one son, R. Lamar Brown Jr. of 
Williamsburg; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today in Peninsula Funeral 
Home.
