Maria Doyle News has been received here of the death in Baltimore Friday of Miss A. Maria Doyle, of Norfolk. The deceased was a daughter of the late Capt. John E. E. Doyle and a sister of the late Walter E. Doyle, of this city, and was the last of one of the largest, oldest and most prominent families of Norfolk. Her two sisters, Miss Mamie Doyle and Miss Emily Doyle, preceded her to the grave in 1910. The remains will arrive here from Baltimore this morning, and will be conveyed to thee family residence, 340 Bute Street. The funeral will be held from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 o'clock Monday morning. ************************************************************************** The funeral of Miss A. Maria Doyle, daughter of the late Captain John E. Doyle and Mrs. Mary Fitzgerald Doyle, was held from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 o’clock yesterday morning. Requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Halblieb. During the service, Rev. Father Doherty, of St. Mary’s Church, and Rev. Father Gleason, of St. Vincent’s Hospital, occupied seats in the sanctuary. At the conclusion of the mass, Mrs. S. A. Sutton sang "Face to Face." The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary’s cemetery. Following were the pall-bearers: Shirley Carter, W. T. Cooke, John B. Jenkins, P. C. Warwick, Jr., Pay Director W. W. Galt, U.S.N., Charles F. Spottswood, Judge D. Tucker Brooke and Joshua Garrison. There was a program of beautiful floral tributes.
