Norfolk Virginian Pilot Thursday January 16, 1947
Mrs. Fanny Etheridge Doyle, 57, wife of Walter Herron Doyle and daughter of 
the late James Edward and Mrs. Fanny Santos Etheridge, died yesterday at 8 
a.m. at a local hospital.  She was a native and lifelong resident of this 
section, residing on Twenty-second Street, Virginia Beach, at the time of 
her death.  She was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Arthur Hitch, of 
Virginia Beach and Norfolk; three brothers, Dr. Herbert R. Etheridge, 
Charles A. Etheridge and James E. Etheridge, of Norfolk and a number of 
nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Friday at 
noon by the Rev. George P. Gunn, rector of the Church of the Good Shepherd, 
Meadowbrook.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
