R. Devereux Doyle, of Norfolk, died of pneumonia at St. Vincent's Hospital Tuesday 
afternoon.  He was the son of the late John E. and Mary Fitzgerald Doyle.
The funeral will be held privately from the family residence, 340 Bute Street, 
today.

The funeral of R. Devereux Doyle was solemnized from the family residence, 340 
Bute Street, at 10:30 o'clock yesterday morning.  The service was conducted by 
Rev. Father Dowling, associate pastor of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  The 
interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Following were the pallbearers: Fitzgerald 
Doyle, Walter Doyle, C. C. Foreman, John B. Jenkins, Teuch F. Tilghman, Judge D. 
Tucker Brook, H. B. Reardon and Robert DeJarnette.
