He was 35 years old. The deceased was engineer of the right of way of the Virginia Railroad. He was a native of Staunton, but had been a resident of Norfolk for several years. He is survived by a widow and two children, a little son and daughter, and by his father, Thomas S. Doyle, of Augusta County and a half-sister, Miss Dorothy Doyle. The management of the Virginian Railroad held the deceased in high esteem. While in Norfolk he had many warm friends. At one time he was connected with the Norfolk and Western Railroad and was also associated with the Old Dominion Land Company at Newport News and was also a former assistant city engineer of Newport News and constructed the dam of the water supply for that city. The funeral will be held from his late residence, Granby and Nineteenth Streets, at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
