The funeral of Miss A. Maria Doyle, daughter of the late Captain John E. Doyle and 
Mrs. Mary Fitzgerald Doyle, was held from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 
o’clock yesterday morning. Requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Halblieb. 
During the service, Rev. Father Doherty, of St. Mary’s Church, and Rev. Father 
Gleason, of St. Vincent’s Hospital, occupied seats in the sanctuary. At the 
conclusion of the mass, Mrs. S. A. Sutton sang "Face to Face." The remains were 
laid to rest in St. Mary’s cemetery.
Following were the pall-bearers: Shirley Carter, W. T. Cooke, John B. Jenkins, P. 
C. Warwick, Jr., Pay Director W. W. Galt, U.S.N., Charles F. Spottswood, Judge D. 
Tucker Brooke and Joshua Garrison. There was a program of beautiful floral 
tributes.
