Dozier, 89, retired building contractor of Norfolk, died yesterday at 10:45 p.m. at his residence, 1317 Cornwall Place, Larchmont, after an illness of three months. He had not been active in business for more than 15 years. A native of Princess Anne County, he had lived most of his life in Norfolk and Princess Anne County. He was a member of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church. He was the widower of Mrs. Gertrude Grimstead Dozier and a son of the late Henry Alley and Mrs. Fanny Wright Dozier. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Harvie A. Snellings, and one son, Clyde T. Dozier, both of Norfolk; one granddaughter, Mrs. A.C, Henry, of Hoboken, N.J. and one great-grandson. The body was removed to the Cox Funeral Home. ************************* Escue L Dozier - Funeral services for Mr. Dozier, who died Friday, will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home today at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Moffett C. Booker, pastor of Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
