Funeral services from the residence THIS (Tuesday) MORNING at 11 o'clock. Interment private. Mrs. Josephine A. Dozier, wife of Sandusky Dozier, passed away at the family residence, 318 Duke street, at 10:55 o'clock Sunday night after a lingering illness. The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William H. Llewellyn of Norfolk and had been a resident of this city from her birth. She was noted for her many virtues and lovely traits of character, which were prominently portrayed in her home life. She leaves a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, who knew her only to love and who will learn of her death with feelings of deep sorrow. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son and daughter, Henry B. Caldwell and L. Dozier; a sister, Mrs. George R. Whitehurst of Norfolk, and a brother, James B. Llewellyn of Norfolk. The funeral will be held from the residence at 11 o'clock this morning and will be conducted by Rev. Dr. J. N. H. Summerell of the Ghent Presbyterian church, in the absence of her pastor, Rev. Dr. J. E. Thacker, of the Second Presbyterian church.
