Dozier, widow of the late Ambrose A. Dozier, died yesterday morning at 1:50 o'clock at the residence of her grandsons, Messrs. C. M. and M. C. Halstead, corner Patrick and Cross streets, after a brief illness. The deceased suffered a stroke of paralysis Monday night and continued to grow worse until the end. She was 73 years old and was a native of Currituck, N.C., but had been a resident of Virginia the past thirty-nine years and moved to Berkley ward about a year ago, residing with her grandsons. The deceased was a member of Park Place Baptist church but was a former member of the Berkley Avenue Baptist church. She is survived by two children, Mrs. John Etheridge of Park Place and Mrs. D. W. Pratt of Brooklyn, N.Y. She was well known and highly esteemed and leaves a large circle of friends to mourn their loss. The funeral will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Geo. J. Hobday officiating, assisted by Rev. W. A. Smith, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist church, and the interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
