Norfolk Landmark June 16, 1895
The funeral of Mrs. Priscilla F. Dozier took place from the residence of her son, 
Mr. Walter J. Simmons, No. 97 Bank street, at 11 o'clock yesterday morning and was 
attended by a large concourse of sorrowing friends. The service was conducted by 
the Rev. A. Coke Smith, who spoke eloquently of the commendable life and high 
character of the deceased. The interment took place in Elmwood Cemetery, the 
following gentlemen acting as pallbearers: Messrs. E. J. Whitehurst, J. W. 
Fentress, J. S. Seneca, J. W. Beasley, James E. Dey, H. B. Nichols, H. C. Williams 
and J. D. Smith.
