Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Monday January 2, 1928
Ivy Dozier, Sr., aged 68, died at the residence, Granby Street boulevard, 
yesterday morning at 9:10 o’clock. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Forbes 
Dozier; five sons, Enoch T., Phillip R., Silas M., William W., and Ivy Dozier, 
Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. W. E. Stokes; one brother, Peter Dozier, of Moyock, N. C., 
and two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Smith and Mrs. Chlote Whitley, of Portsmouth. 
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, corner 
Twenty-Ninth and Granby Streets, this afternoon at 3 o’clock. Burial will be in 
Forest Lawn Cemetery.
