Norfolk Virginian Pilot September 21, 1947

Mrs. Gertrude Grimstead Dozier, 73, wife of Escue L. Dozier, died at her 
residence, 1333 Magnolia Avenue yesterday at 6:10 a.m.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harvie A. 
Snellings; a son, Clyde T. Dozier, both of Norfolk; a brother, F.L. 
Grimstead of Norfolk; a granddaughter, Mrs. A.C. Henry and a great-grandson, 
Harvie Henry, both of Hohokus, N.J.
Mrs. Dozier was a native of Princess Anne County and had been a resident of 
Norfolk for 50 years.  She was a member of Larchmont Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Monday 
at 2 p.m.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
