She was born in Portsmouth and was the widow of Major Dozier. Mrs. Dozier was a member of Dome of Canaan Baptist Church, Chesapeake, where she was director of hospitality ministry and member of widows ministry, and music ministry. Survivors include a brother, Charles LaJune Harvey of Norfolk; seven nieces, Sara Burton of Peoria, Ariz., Essie Marie Davis, Ann H. Rhodes of Wyoming, Mich., Hannah H. Gathlings of Raleigh, N.C., Cynthia H. Evans of Odenton, Md., Sylvia H. Boone of Crofton, Md., Louise H. Bailey of Glen Arden, Md.; seven nephews, Kenneth Harvey Sr., Frederick Thompson, both of Norfolk, Ronald Harvey of New York, N.Y., William Harvey and Abraham Harvey of Odenton, Md., Major Harvey of Ypsilanti, Mich., Tommy Harvey of Kalleen, Texas; a foster daughter, Loretta Horton of Chesapeake; and other surviving relatives and friends. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Dome of Canaan Baptist Church, 1209 Dominion Blvd., Chesapeake, by the Rev. Theodore Little. Family and friends will assemble at 2022 Midway Ave., Chesapeake, at noon Friday for the procession to the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Metropolitan Funeral Service is in charge.
