Mrs. Leana Dowley Dozier, 65, died last night at 7:25 o'clock at the home of her
son, E. L. Dowley, of 2609 Chesapeake Street, after a long illness.  Mrs. Dozier
was the wife of J. L. Dozier and the daughter of the late Capt. George and Mrs.
Lavenia Nelson.  She had been a resident of Norfolk all her life and a member of
the Pentacostal Holiness Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, E. L.,  C. L. and Charles N.
Dowley, of Norfolk;  two daughters, Mrs. N. T. Harrell, of Norfolk, and Mrs. R.
A. Woodall, of Sturgeon Bay, WI;  nine grandchildren;  one  half-brother, Luther
J. Rowland, of Norfolk, and one half sister, Mrs. Addie Towe, of Richmond.

The body was taken to the funeral home of Paul B. Warren and Son, where services
will take place Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock.  Burial will be in the family
plot in Riverside Memorial Park.
