Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 22, 1938

Allie A. Dozier, aged 48, son of Mrs. Amanda Dozier Penny and the late William 
Calvin Dozier, died at the residence, 308 Chapel Street, Sunday morning at 3:15 
o'clock of a heart attack.
Mr. Dozier was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk and was engaged in the 
fruit and produce business in the city market. He was a member of Norfolk Lodge 
No. 38, B.P.O. Elks and Charity Lodge No. 10, K. of P. Besides his mother he is 
survived by a brother, Elzie W. Dozier, of Philadelphia.
Services will be held in the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 
Colonial Avenue, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
