Funeral services for Joe Drake, 75, of 1607 Vernon drive was held Friday in the 
chapel of Graves Funeral Home.

The Rev. Richard Councill of Metropolitan AME Church, conducted the services.

Mr. Drake, a Wilmington, NC, native who lived in Norfolk for 40 years, was a 
retired Norfolk public works employee and a member of Eureka Lodge.  He died at 
his home.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ethel Drake;  a son, Freddie Drake;  two daughters, 
Mrs. Esther Stevenon and Mrs. Sarah Morris;  a sister, Mrs. Lillie Smith of 
Boston and a brother, Wright Drake of Philadelphia.
