A. Drapeau, whose demise occurred from pneumonia in Ayden, N.C., Tuesday, was held from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, York street, at 2 o’clock p.m. yesterday. Mrs. Drapeau was 51 years of age. She was married in Ridgeway, Pa., her native State, in 1893. The news of her death was a source of great sorrow to her numerous friends in this city where she resided until about eighteen months ago when she went with her husband to Ayden, N. C., where she had since resided. She was a devout member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of this city. She was loved and esteemed by all who knew her for her many beautiful Christian traits. Requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Halbleib, associate pastor of the Sacred Heart Church. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary’s cemetery. Following were the pallbearers; Clay Thompson, E. B. Lewis, W. J. Mason, D. J. McDermott, J. T. Wood and Harry Lambeth.
