The Virginian Pilot October 16, 1940
Mrs. Lydia Silvester Draper, aged 72, daughter of Willis and Mrs. Virginia 
Lindsey Silvester, a former resident of this section, died in Washington 
yesterday.  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. McDonald Lindsey, and sister, 
Miss Genevieve Silvester, of Washington, D.C., and several nieces and nephews.  
The body will arrive in Norfolk by steamer Friday morning and will be taken to 
Elmwood Cemetery for services at the grave at 8:30 o'clock.
