Miriam F. Drew, 98, of the 5300 block of Marian Lane, died May 3, 1998, at Marian 
Manor.

She was retired from civil service with 30 years of service. Mrs. Drew was born in 
Baltimore, Md. She was the daughter of the late George Foy and Bridgette Murphy 
Foy, and the widow of John D. Drew. She was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic 
Church in Virginia Beach.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Ryan Nee. Survivors include her two 
sons, Richard W. Nee and his wife, Terri, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Bill D. Nee and 
his wife, Patsy, of Virginia Beach; her sister, Camellia F. Pfister of Houston, 
Texas; a daughter-in-law, Agnes Nee of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Tracy, 
Tommy, Stacy, Timmy, Bill Jr., Richard and Christopher; and three great-
grandchildren.

A mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory's 
Catholic Church by Monsignor William L. Pitt. Burial will be at St. Mary's 
Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will receive friends Tuesday in the funeral home 
from 7 to 9 p.m. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling 
arrangements.
