NORFOLK — Funeral services for John Sheppard Drew, who died Wednesday at a Norfolk 
hospital, were conducted at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Saturday at 10 a.m. by 
the Rev. Thomas J. Walsh, pastor. The Rev. John Dunne was present in the 
sanctuary. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were John S. 
Alfriend, Baxter C. Carr, Dr. M. S. Fitchett, Dr. Claiborne Fitchett, Morris H. 
Bell, Arthur C. Hanna, W. S. Jarvis, A. W. Brock, Eugene D. Denby, Thomas P. Bowe 
and Charles Elmer Rudolphi. Active pallbearers were Frank J. Hatton, James Mernard 
Fitzpatrick, Charles G. Brown, Charles E. Satchell, Fred J. Schmoele Sr. and 
Edward. F. Lawler.
