Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - November 8, 1990
George "Jaw-Bone" Drewitt, of the 2400 block of Middle St., died Nov. 6, 
1990, in a hospital.
Mr. Drewitt was a native of Ivor.
Survivors include three sons, Andre Thompson, George Thompson Jr. and 
Larnell Thompson, all of Norfolk; six sisters, Shirley Drewitt-Hart, 
Jeanette Drewitt, Barbara Blackledge, Theresa Blackledge, Lavern Drewitt and 
Maxine Cooper, all of Norfolk; two stepsisters, Elaine Ghee and Evelyn 
Spruill, both of Norfolk; five brothers, James Drewitt, Roosevelt Drewitt, 
Carlton Drewitt, Tony Blackledge and William Thomas, all of Norfolk; and two 
grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Graves Funeral Home by 
the Rev. J.L. Kearney. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may join 
the family at 2423 Barre St.
