DREWREY, in the 54th year of his age. Funeral services will take place from his late residence, Liberty Street, Berkley, THIS (Wednesday) MORNING at 11 o'clock. Friends and acquaintances of the family invited to attend without further notice. ********************************************************************* Funeral of John M. Drewrey The funeral of this lamented gentleman, who died at his residence in Berkley on Monday night last, took place from the house yesterday at 11 a.m. There was a large attendance, the deceased having been very popular n Norfolk County, where he was a magistrate for many years. The services were conducted by the Rev. N.A. Okeson, D.D, rector of St. Paul's Church, Norfolk, who preached a most impressive sermon from the text, "Now, this I say brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption," I Cor., 15th chap. 50th verse. After the services had been concluded the remains were followed to the grave in Elmwood Cemetery by a large number of mourning friends and interred with the usual solemn rites, the following gentlemen acting as pallbearers: Messrs. John Dalby, Thaddeus Wooten, Wm. Davis, B.T. Tatem, David Creecy and James R. Walke. With these sad ceremonies all that was mortal of John M. Drewrey passed away from among men and as the lamented one is placed out of sight the mind reverts to the excellent qualities of his character. He was one whose death was a misfortune to the community and whose departure from earth, was a bitter calamity to hundreds of friends. May he rest in peace.
