Mr. Drewrey attended to the business at his office on Wednesday and seemed as well as usual. He was 68 years old and has lived in Norfolk for the last thirty-seven years. News of his death was a keen shock to his business associates and friends. The funeral will take place at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon at his residence, 417 Boush Street, Rev. E.P. Miner, of St. Luke's Church, will officiate. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Drewrey was the president of Louis Drewrey and Company, which is one of the oldest mercantile establishments in the city. He organized the firm in 1885 and from a small business it has developed into one of the best of its kind in this section. Members of the Retail Merchants Association, of which he was a member, passed resolutions at their meeting yesterday expressing their deep sorrow at the loss of one of their most popular members. He was a charter member of the association in 1903 and has been on the board of directors since that time. Mr. Drewrey has no children or near relatives. Mrs. Drewrey died in 1909. Resolutions expressing their deep sorrow at the loss by death of Louis Drewrey were adopted by members of the Retail Merchants Association at the regular quarterly meeting, held at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon and the following committee was appointed to attend the funeral today: J.R. Brownley, W.G. Swartz, W.R. Martin, L.R. Shulman, G. Leslie Hall, Walter G. Blick. *************************************************************************** The funeral of Louis Drewrey, well known Norfolk business man, who died Wednesday night, was conducted at 3:30 o'clock from the home, 417 Boush Street. Rev. E.P. Miner, rector of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, officiated. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. The funeral was very largely attended and there were many beautiful floral offerings. The employees of the Drewrey store attended in a body and a committee representing the Retail Merchants Association was also in attendance. Pallbearers were: B.R. Corwine, E.P. Little, E.S. Hodges, W.C. Shelly, John Callahan, T.H Browne, H.O. Billups and J.H. Brownley.
