Virginia Beach - Stuart Ames Drummond, 90, passed away May 26, 2018. Born in 
Norfolk, VA, he was the son of the late George and Carolyn Drummond. He was a 
U.S. Army veteran and a retired plumber and general contractor. Left to cherish 
his memory: his wife, Alta Maria Drummond; sons, Stuart Auer and his wife, Lucy, 
and Bart Auer and his wife, Barbara; brother, Meredith Drummond; grandchildren, 
Kimberly Ames Boykin and her husband, Thomas, Jennifer Stuart Barkan and her 
husband, Andrew, and Bartlett Auer, Jr., and his wife, Shawn; and great-
grandchildren, Sam and Mia Barkan, Gray and Hunter Auer. A funeral service will 
be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Kempsville Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the 
Sentara Hospice House. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Condolences 
may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
