Norfolk Virginian December 9, 1883

Death of Mr. Chas. H. Drummond - We regret to announce the death of this 
gentleman, which occurred at 3:12 o'clock yesterday morning at his residence in 
this village. Mr. Drummond had been in ill health for some time, but it was not 
until about Thanksgiving Day that he was taken seriously sick. He died in the 
full possession of his mental faculties, passing away with entire resignation. 
His funeral will take place from St. Paul's Church this afternoon.

Funeral - There was quite a large crowd gathered at St. Paul's Church Sunday to 
pay the last tribute of respect to Capt. Charles Drummond.  Our community will 
miss one who was loved and honored by all.  He leaves a wife and five children 
to mourn after him.
