June 13, 1953 Mrs.Jessie‑Lee Edmonds Drumwright, 72, wife of Frederick H. Drumwright, and daughter of the late Joseph and Mrs. Ella‑Jane Thompson Edmonds, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died at a Norfolk hospital Thursday at 11:30 p.m. She was member of Park Place Baptist Church and Virginia Chapter 22, Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Drumwright was active in church circles, having been deaconess of the Baptist Tabernacle and having worked for years in the beginners' department. She resided at 732 East 27th Street. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J. H. Drumwright and Mrs. W. R. Harris, both of Norfolk; one brother, Clarence Edmonds, of Takoma Park, Md., and a number of nieces and nephews. The body will be taken from the Ewell and Williamson Funeral Home to Park Place Baptist Church for funeral services tomorrow at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Henry W. Tiffany, D.D., pastor. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
